I love customizing each cake smash session, either according to colours or themes. Summer’s mom chose pink and orange and I am thrilled with the results!!

I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve for cake smash sessions, just in case a little one doesn’t care for smashing their cake. Whether it’s hiding a toddler snack in the icing, or helping them break the cake something always seems to work…
Except in this case. There are no guarantees working with little tots and you’ll see that Miss K was a bit upset at times when it came to her cake. I think we still ended up with some great memories and cute moments. She still got covered in cake.. and so did her mommy 🙂

Pretty little Emily 🙂 Such a sweet little newborn! She was pretty good to me and let me get lots of great shots – including my new favourite of the one of her laying on the stool (and don’t worry – mom’s hands were on her the whole time! It’s two photos stitched together in photoshop). Baby girl’s are always so much fun to play “dress up” with during their portrait session. I think she looks like the sweetest little doll in that lace hat!

Little girl sessions are so fun to plan!
I like to keep it fairly natural without going over the top with girly, poufy things while still including items that show off the baby girl’s beauty and work well with neutrals. I think the result is pretty sweet 🙂
I’m enjoying my new studio and incorporating the stone wall into family shots as well! In addition to super sweet baby portraits, I take macro (i.e. super close up shots of itty bitty detail) photos of baby bits (eyelashes, toes, lips) and am always excited when parents see the value in choosing those portraits as a part of their package. They will only be so little for a short while!

Welcome to my studio! I am in love with my space and hope that you will find it a comfortable place to relax during your session 🙂
It’s a work in progress (still need a coffee table and more artwork, etc!) but I am so excited to share it with you! As you will see, my studio has a lot of natural character and I am often shooting with the existing stone as a backdrop.
My studio is located in an historic building just outside of Kitchener-Waterloo in the quaint town of St. Agatha. I love that I have clients visiting from Baden, New Hamburg, Breslau, and KW and it seems to be very easy and quick for everyone to find me since I am quite close to an access point for HWY 7/8.
